RMC Rail Services – Thornlie-Cockburn Link Project

Working on the biggest public transport shut down in Perth’s history, the RMC Rail Services team conducted around 3,000 labour-hours over both day and night shifts to finish our allocated work four days earlier than anticipated.

RMC Rail Services deconstructed 2km of track and rail stressed over 10km of rail for the NEWest Alliance METRONET Thornlie-Cockburn Link Project.

A pool of RMC Rail Services Signal Technicians and Protection Officers ensured a high safety standard was maintained during the works which were completed over the Christmas and New Year period under significant thermal conditions, with temperatures rising to 43 degrees.
