TLI37122 Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure

COURSE INFORMATION

This is a general qualification for a person engaged in the rail infrastructure environment who performs tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a wide variety of contexts and has had experience in basic rail construction and maintenance operations. It may involve application of some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures. It may also include responsibility for coordinating the work of others.

COURSE DELIVERY

This course is delivered over two five-day blocks and covers 11 units of competency. Our upgraded Perth training pad now features a dual-gauge turnout, providing learners with a more complete, real-world training experience.

COST

The cost for this course is $3,600 per person (GST Free).

  • First installment – $1,500.00 to be paid at enrolment
  • Second Installment – $1,500.00 prior to commencement of “Week 1” training
  • Final Balance – $600.00 due prior to commencement of “Week 2” training

COURSE LOCATION:

The course will be delivered at Railtrain’s Perth Airport facilities.

Week 1 (5 Days)

  • TLIB3099 Examine track infrastructure
  • TLIB3100 Visually inspect track infrastructure
  • TLIB2091 Measure and record track geometry
  • TLIB3094 Check and repair track geometry
  • TLIF2006 Apply accident-emergency procedures

Week 2 (5 Days)

  • RIICCM201E Cary out measurements and calculations
  • RIICCM203E Read and interpret plans and job specifications
  • TLIE2007 Use communication systems
  • TLIF3003 Implement and monitor work health and safety procedures
  • TLIE2029 Conduct workplace information briefings
  • TLIJ0003 Apply quality systems

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The entry requirement for this qualification is TLI27171 Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure or relevant industry experience gained by working in the rail infrastructure environment.

This qualification may be undertaken as a traineeship.

This qualification is currently delivered in the Track Examination stream.
