The course content and training were very good. The trainer made it a relaxed and engaging process by balancing theory with practical application, which improved learning and prevented information overload. There were “lots of good 2-way discussions” throughout, and the practical sessions around locomotives and wagons were especially valuable, with participants gaining the most from this hands-on experience.

For our organisation, the course has been invaluable. With limited prior rolling stock experience, the AETs have gained both a formal qualification and, more importantly, the practical skills and knowledge required to manage and maintain rail assets. The training around inspections, braking systems, component identification, and train inspections was directly relevant to operational needs. There has been a noticeable increase in confidence in fault diagnosis and servicing, and importantly, the team has already identified and is rectifying an issue on wagons that was previously unknown.
