Railtrain were only too happy to send one of their very experienced rail trainers up to Port Hedland from Perth to help with our “Tracks to Success” Cert II & III rail operations trainees. The logistics and cost to send eight young, locals to Perth for several weeks would have been great and a very difficult exercise for the trainees. So “Railtrains willingness” to send a trainer to site was very well received from all parties involved, BHP Billiton, the trainees, their families and Apprenticeships Australia.
